Mauri Kohatu kainga site

Ngā uri o Ōkahu Inuāwai hapū me ngā whanau whanui o Ngāruahine came together on the 3rd of March for the dawn karakia and laying of mauri on the Okaiawa whenua. 

Under the hapū kāinga strategy the whenua is focused on housing for uri of Ōkahu Inuawai hapū and provides passive income to the Pā through a lease to the hapū SPV company. 

We are all excited to see the first kainga take shape on the whenua in the coming months. More panui to follow on the finish date and turn key celebration.
